Rational Unified Process as Methodology of Software Development
Rytíř, Vladimír ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
Goal of my work is to introduce software development process metods specialized to Rational Unified Process metod from IBM. I aplicate inception and elaboration phases of RUP on practical example.
Process Documentation
Dostalík, Martin ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
The goal of this project is the identification with management, analysis and documentation of processes which are used in software development and creating prototype which support these processes. It explains why is important to create new working processes, measure their efficiency and improve them subsequently. Next, it describes the methods which help with the integration of these processes at work and, manage them, especially the Rational Unified Process from the IBM company. Then, I describe the ways how to develop www applications and, consequently, how to work with these applications. The thesis also involves the specification of the requirements and the scheme for the program support application of the process documentation and the description of this application. Another part of the thesis is the system in the active web side form serving to the utilization of a process library in the software projects developing.
Software Support for Projects Management
Janda, Petr ; Kreslíková, Jitka (referee) ; Květoňová, Šárka (advisor)
This project describes design and implementation of project management information system support, mainly for IT organizations. It includes informations about basic facts in project management and mainly about Rational Unified Process, the modern metodology which is well usefull in today changeable environment. System is implemented in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 with support of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and consists of ASP.NET presentation and of DLL library written in C# language. Information system provides support for project planing and management. System work in standard internet browsers and is very usefull for geografically devided teams.

OpenUP project management methodology and software configuration for her support
Boukal, Tomáš ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee)
The objective of this thesis is to familiarize readers with the project management methodology, specifically more in detail with OpenUP and RUP methodologies, and reveal the potential of software support for the methodology in general, with some specific parts being focused on OpenUP methodology. The benefit of this thesis is to map the current software offerings to support project management, finding the possible combinations of the integration software to optimize the infrastructure to facilitate the job of management and software development projects. First, the thesis deals with the allocation of project management methodology, familiarization with existing methodologies and a rough description, with two separate chapters that focus on more detailed description of the RUP and OpenUP. The second part deals with software support separation into categories, finding tools that cover different categories by its functionality and finally possibilities of integration between tools.
Selection and application of software development methodology which is suitable for analytical and development micro team
Pospíšil, Václav ; Kubíček, Jovan (advisor) ; Exnarová, Anna (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to explore the possibilities of software development methodology application on a project developed by a very small team. Three types of methodologies will be described subsequently - Extreme Programming, Select Perspective a Rational Unified Process. Each methodology will be applied on the real project, in given real conditions. The most appropriate methodology will be chosen and demonstrated on the real project of the software platform for e-commerces -- from the stage of inception to the stage of elaboration. Choosing of a methodology and its suitability is influenced mostly by the size of the development team where supposed tasks have to be fulfilled by only two employees. The given methodology will be judged, evaluated and modified for the needs of development micro teams. The way of modification will be described at the end of this thesis.
Requirement management and its implementation into the lifecycle of information system developement
Majling, Matej ; Stanovská, Iva (advisor) ; Hrdlička, Tomáš (referee)
Bachelor thesis consists of three parts. First part discuss the requirement management and requirement engineering. I described basic principles, processes and definitions which this discipline involves. In second part I compared the approaches of traditional and agile software development methodologies (Rational Unified Process, Feature Driven Development and Extreme Programming) to the software management and their differences. In the last part I introduce case study of real development project of information system for vehicle insurance administration. I applied agile principles to create unique process of requirement management for this specific project.
Software Requirements in the Life Cycle of Development Process
Bystřická, Radka ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Stanovská, Iva (referee)
Software requirements are an integral part of the processes of development and maintenance of information systems. Working with requirements is not an easy thing and their poor understanding and incorrect implementation may adversely affect the project. Dissatisfaction arises at the both sides of project because customers do not get what they have wanted and development team does worthless and unnecessary work from their point of view. Problems with requirements and with setting up the right processes to deal with them are the area of Requirements Management. Over the years there was defined a few best practices within this scope. This thesis describes some basic techniques, methods and rules. There is also a requirements splitting into five types. For each type of requirements there are described their specifics, including the typical problems that arise in their context. There are several methodologies of development and maintenance of information systems. Each of them adapts the requirements and processes of their elaboration a little bit differently. This depends on the basis of the methodologies. There are free methodologies described in this thesis. The Rational Unified Process is chosen as delegate of classic ones. Scrum and Feature Driven Development stands for agile methodologies. For each methodology there are first briefly outlined its basics and then described the roles, artifacts and processes in the context of the requirements.
